Reciprocal Anamnesis is an experimental physical interface that utilizes conductive paint and an Arduino based chipboard. When viewers come in close proximity the pedestals trigger and play a randomly selected sound, all while recording what is being said in response. This data was used to then populate the pedestals with new content as the exhibition went on. The piece explored interface design outside of familiar icons and hierarchy, while questioning the role of technology mediating individual experiences such as memory recall.
